Having Rosie Molinary speak was like having a big door open wide and all these ideas, thoughts, and feelings came tumbling through! Her presentation was thought-provoking, empathetic, inviting, and, at times, heartbreaking. If anyone works with Latina students, Rosie and her book, Hijas Americanas are absolute must-haves. It is the best way to start a much-needed discussion about Latinas and body image issues. - Dr. Francesca Maresca, Department of Health Education, Rutgers University

Rosie has an amazing presence as a workshop leader. As a former high school and college teacher and advisor, Rosie is a born educator and her charisma is never more evident than when she is in front of a group of people – particularly young adults – talking about issues she is passionate about. Rosie could make any audience excited about virtually any mundane topic, but when you combine Rosie’s energy and natural talent as a teacher with a topic of interest for so many, you can’t help but have a great workshop. I could not recommend anyone as a speaker any more than I recommend Rosie Molinary. - Jill Williams, Consultant, International Center for Transitional Justice

If you would like to book Rosie Molinary for workshops, readings, signings, and discussions, please e-mail her at hijasamericanas@gmail.com.

Actually, I was in LA in April for the book and would love to return. A surprising fact about book promotion is that I– as the author– am responsible for almost all of my bookings and all of my expenses so I have to time everything carefully. I am looking at LA for the fall so I will definitely keep you posted!

    Hi Rosie,
I would love to actually meet you one day. I am constantly checking the blogspace to see if you will be in the NYC area. Hope that when you do, I will be able to make it to your workshop. Again good work! I enjoy that book, I always go back to it for inspiration!

    Thank you,
    Stephanie

    Rosie-

You probably don’t remember me, but you visited my school (SUNY Fredonia) last year, and even had dinner and lunch with me. I had such a great time, and despite not being Latina, I learned so much from your empowering words! I really hope you come back again!

Jill, I absolutely remember you. You reminded me so much of my good friend Jill and you came to dinner with your boyfriend and another male friend! So glad that you enjoyed that visit and discussion last year and that you came by the site. I LOVED Fredonia (I have a post on it on here– check out September 2007 to find it) and would love to visit again. Hope you’ll continue to check out the blog every now and again.

    Take care, Rosie

Aliza, Thanks so much for the shout out! I’d love to head back to NYC and there’s a possibility that I’ll be something in the Bronx mid to late March. Keep an eye out. On another note, I love your blog. I feel like I’m smarter after every visit.
    Peace, Rosie

Thanks so much for stopping in. I did several Chicago visits in 2007, but don’t have an upcoming visit on the docket. The event schedule is pretty much dictated by where I am invited to go. The Chicago area is one of my favorites in the US so I’d gladly return any time I am invited!

      Peace, Rosie
